Shoreline Half Marathon

I love last minute races! Especially when they have race morning packet pick up for free. I would have never thought I would say this, but I wish this race started earlier! I think it was already too warm. There was a pretty constant ocean breeze though so it wasn't too bad. I had a fun time, because it was at the beach. This was a small race, and I was a little worried I would get lost because I didn't study the course like I was supposed to. I always had a few people in front of me to keep me on track though. I had a really good time; 2:01:16. I feel like if I hadn't needed to pee before the race I could have gotten out with the right wave and would have gotten off to a quicker start. This race was in Ventura, very near the fair grounds. I could even see them running some horses as I ran by. There is another Ventura Half Marathon in September that I think I am going to run. I'll be able to plan that out better maybe so I can spend some time at the beach. Maybe even recruit a buddy to come with me!
